Support Groups
SIDS and Kids WA offers three support groups in the metropolitan area. If you are interested in finding out more about a support group, please contact the SIDS and Kids WA office on .
Healing Memories
Second Thursday of each month
9.30am-12.00pm
This support group is facilitated by a counselor and or peer supporter and gives the opportunity to meet with other bereaved mothers. The group focus is primarily on sharing stories, mementos, smiles and tears in a safe environment free from babies and children You are welcome to bring in scrapbooks or crafts you are making in tribute to your child, or simply come to have a cuppa and a chat. Morning tea is provided.
Circle of Friends
Last Thursday of each month
10.00am-12.00pm
This group is a place where parents who have gone on to have subsequent pregnancies after a loss, get together and share time, stories and their journey in a supportive and understanding environment. Parents, babies and toddlers are welcome.
Bereaved Parent Group
Second Tuesday of each month
6.30pm-8.00pm
SIDS and Kids WA together with PMH social work department are partnering to offer a bereaved parent group. We welcome families who have experienced the death of a child, including miscarriage and stillbirth. Each meeting will begin with a short presentation on a topic and will be followed by a group discussion.
